***Latest 2008 Event Pictures & Videos***

Dear Friends,

Chris and I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy 2008 Race Season!  Over the past couple of years Finish Line Productions has grown far beyond my expectations. And as you all know, Chris is the main reason for this. His timeless efforts of photography and countless hours compiling videos have put us on the map. Albeit is like a small island, but it’s on the map none the less. For those of us who race in the series, it has become sort of a cult following. It makes it harder for us those of us who like to embellish our racing tales around the campfire because we usually have the proof.  Along with our fellow racers, I hear stories about people who check the site out regularly merely as an entertainment factor. And for that, we would like to thank everyone who visits the site and hopefully we can continue our tradition. We would also like to thank everyone who has viewed our site and ordered merchandise from us.

In the upcoming year, Chris and I are continuing to try and improve our web site and hopefully adding some new features to it. One thing we will be adding in 2008 will be post race reports and more paddock photos. Some other things we are working on are establishing an advertising section for the web site and possibly a parts bin trading section.  As we are always looking to improve, if you have any suggestions regarding the site, please send us an e-mail. One of the benefits of being a small company is that we rely on your feedback thus enabling us to create a better product.

Chris and I are really looking forward to the upcoming season as he has promised to show me how to take pictures and I will give him racing pointers as he entertains the thought of getting his racing license.

Sincerely,

Ron Cates

Types of DVD’s Offered

We offer you 2 unique DVD services, one is DVD recording, the other is DVD mastering. Both are excellent quality (or as good as the source materials). A recorded DVD is the lower cost option.

Recorded DVDs (Back to top)

A recorded DVD is simply a DVD recorded directly from your source material, either a video tape, a video transfer directly, or a video transfer that has been recorded on a video tape. In the latter case it is recommended that a MiniDV or Digital8 master be made from your film, then the DVD recorded from that. We will record a DVD from VHS or SVHS film transfers if you wish, however the quality lost will not be worth the savings.
Chapters are automatically placed every 5 minutes on the DVD. We can record either 60 minutes at highest quality, or 120 minutes at lower quality

Mastered DVDs

The mastering process starts with the video capture either from your video tapes or the cameras on the film transfer chains. The video is captured at full quality, low compression DV video, to our computer drives. We then assemble the video, add titles, correct film speed issues, add audio, remove blank spots, and anything else the client needs. Also at this point we mark the chapters for the DVD.
Next is the encoding process. The video is encoded into MPEG2 format using the variable bit rate process. The audio is encoded to AC-3 (Dolby Digital Audio) format, in full stereo or even surround sound. A custom menu page is created with links to chapters as needed.
The whole DVD is then brought together in our video production software. This software supports all the features that a DVD supports, so the sky is the limit here. The DVD is then multiplexed and burned on high end DVD burners, and on the DVD-R medium recommended for the burner. We can record up to 60 minutes on a DVD-R at the best quality

Digital Photography  (Back to top)

We can provide professional quality high resolution digital photos of your car from various vantage points around the track.  Just come see us at the track and give us your car information and we will provide high resolution images burned on to cd or dvd rom.  Click here for pricing.

Video Clipping  (Back to top)

We can download clips from your video and convert them into a Windows media©, Real media© or QuickTime© format so you can E-mail to friends or family.  This service can be done right at the track.

In-Car Camera Options and Setup Advice  (Back to top)

We can help you set up your existing equipment or provide you with various options and advice for setting up a new video system from a simple single camera to multiple cameras mounted around the car.
